Job Purpose:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing logistical tasks that relate to a specific project. A logistics coordinator confers with the project manager to understand the scope of a project. They gather all pertinent logistics information, give estimates and planning recommendations, execute logistics, reconcile financials, and results.
Essential Duties:
Key Responsibilities
· Conducts research regarding show services, travel cost, and labor rates
· Supports project management in quoting and estimating projects by applying established pricing
methodologies
· Follows the project schedule and completes assigned duties
· Coordinates transportation, travel, and other activities related to trade shows
· Orders client trade show/event services
· Prepares purchase orders based on costs
· Provides back up and support to other coordinators
Communication
· Coordinates with internal resources and third party/vendors for flawless execution of projects
· Works with Project Management to understand the details of the project for fulfillment
· Assists and participates in preparation for kick off and lesson learned meetings
Organizational
· Works on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization, prioritization, and adjusting priorities to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
· Communicates to Project Management changes in project scope, schedules, and costs
· Participates in high levels of internal collaboration, frequent interactions and effective communications with team
· Contributes to the success and growth of SCS by completing tasks requested by project management and production teams
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Skills
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field (4 year experience may substitute for the education requirement)
· 2 years experience in business or customer service setting preferred
· Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
· Knowledge of principles and practices of event and trade show logistics is a bonus.

Hours
Regular SCSWORX hours are 8:00-5:00 Monday-Friday, however weekend/holiday work may be expected to meet client deadlines and/or support events. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
