As a warehouse worker you will participate in the shipping, receiving, organizing, storing and issuing of goods and assures shipments are prepared for delivery and delivered in a timely and safe manner. You may also assist with basic-level Installation & Dismantle or Fabrication work, as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Package and prepare materials in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Verify accuracy of shipments; ensure specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct
- Use pull lists to prepare client shipments; ensure all needed items are loaded/packaged
- Load and unload delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving materials, supplies, or client items
- Move items in the warehouse by hand or utilizing material handling equipment such as hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts
- Drive vehicles (e.g. truck, van, forklift, etc.) to transport orders and materials to designated sites or pick-up necessary supplies
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code; Label materials with identifying information
- Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of a computerized inventory system; perform cycle counts on a periodic basis
- Procure items locally to support client and/or SCSWORX requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Communicate with co-workers, managers, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Periodically travel to assist with client exhibit installations and other SCSWORX events
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties as needed
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Experience with forklift operation preferred
